From September 10 to 15, the Prishtina International Film Festival made its big return for its 16th edition. During these 6 days of festival, many films were screened, and cultural activities were also organized.
It was within this framework that the French Institute of Kosovo organized a debate on the theme: “Producing today: when the gender factor becomes central”. After an opening speech by the French Ambassador to Kosovo, Mr. Olivier Guérot, the debate was moderated by Mr. Édouard Mayoral, Cooperation and Cultural Action Counselor and Director of the French Institute of Kosovo, and Blerta Zeqiri, Director of the Kosovo Cinematographic Center.
This debate allowed for an exchange on the topic of gender in cinema, a very relevant and important issue. We had the honor of hearing very interesting insights from the speakers during this debate: Laëtitia Kulyk, Regional Audiovisual Attaché of the French Embassy, Fatos Berisha, Director of PriFest, Valmira Hyseni, Kosovar Producer, Virginie Lacombe, Virgine Films, and Jean-Baptiste Maitre, Alpha Violet. Following the debate, a warm cocktail allowed the speakers and participants to continue their discussions in more depth.
