The French Ministry of Education offers many certifications in French as a foreign language to validate French language skills, from beginner to advanced levels.
Below are the certifications offered by the French Institute of Kosovo.
DELF AND DALF
Basic user.
You can understand and use familiar and everyday expressions as well as very simple statements aimed at meeting concrete needs. You can communicate simply if the interlocutor is cooperative
Basic user.
You can understand isolated sentences and common expressions and communicate on simple and routine tasks. You can talk about topics related to your environment and immediate needs.
Independent user.
You can understand the main points of a discussion and can express yourself in most situations, developing an explanation or stating projects or ideas

You can understand the essential content of topics addressed, even if concrete or abstract, while communicating spontaneously and clearly
Proficient user.
You understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts and express yourself spontaneously and fluently without searching for words. You are comfortable in social, professional, or academic life.

DELF/DALF Tout public
DELF and DALF are intended for foreign or French adults who wish to enhance their French language skills for personal or professional purposes.
DELF and DALF exams consist of four tests: listening comprehension, reading comprehension, oral expression, and written expression.

DELF Prim and DELF Junior
LJunior and Prim versions of DELF are built on the same structure as the standart DELF. Only the themes differ to ensure that the materials and questions address the interests of young people.
DELF Prim and DELF Junior consist of four tests: listening comprehension, reading comprehension, oral expression, and written expression.

Diploma in French Language Studies (DELF) Prim is aimed at and adapted for children aged 5 to 6 who are beginners in French.
DELF Prim includes three diplomas corresponding to the levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: DELF A1.1, DELF A1, and DELF A2.
Diploma in French Language Studies (DELF) Junior is intended for young people aged 7 to 15 who wish to enhance their French language skills.
DELF Junior includes four diplomas corresponding to the levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: DELF A1, DELF A2, DELF B1, and DELF B2.
LE TCF
The Test de Connaissance du Français (TCF) is a French language test intended for anyone aged 16 or older whose native language is not French and who wishes to have their French level assessed for academic, professional, or personal reasons.
The TCF is part of the Preliminary Admission Request (DAP) necessary for the registration of any foreign person over the age of 16 who wishes to enroll in a first-year undergraduate program or an architecture school in a higher education institution in France.
There are four versions of the TCF, depending on the use of the certificate, with different tests:
Assesses French language skills for academic, professional, or personal reasons.
The standart TCF consists of three mandatory tests (listening comprehension, language structure mastery, and reading comprehension) in the form of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and two optional complementary tests (written expression and oral expression) offered in the form of exercises that the candidate can choose to take according to their needs.
Assesses the level of French for a French nationality acquisition request.
The TCF IRN exam consists of four mandatory tests assessing general French language skills: listening comprehension, reading comprehension, oral expression, and written expression.
Assesses the level of French for an economic immigration file to Canada or for obtaining Canadian citizenship.
The TCF Canada exam consists of four mandatory tests assessing general French language skills: listening comprehension, reading comprehension, oral expression, and written expression.
Assesses the level of French for an immigration file with the Ministry of Immigration, Francization, and Integration (MIFI) of Quebec.
The TCF Quebec exam consists of four modular tests assessing general French language skills: listening comprehension, reading comprehension, oral expression, and written expression. Each candidate can choose to take one or more of these tests at their convenience.

DFP
The Diploma of Professional French is awarded by the Paris Île-de-France Chamber of Commerce and Industry Education.
It assesses and enhances linguistic skills in French in a professional context for different sectors of activity.
The exam is divided into written production activities and oral interaction.
